Coimbatore to have an IIM soon

Tamil Nadu chief minister M.Karunanithi appealed to the Prime minister Manmohan Singh, that the central government should set up the prestigious Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Coimbatore. Apart from that, the TN CM wants the centre to start a central university in the state. Currently there are six IIMs in the country at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, kolkata, Lucknow, Indore and Kozhikode. The expectation of the Coimbatore city to join this list has doubled after the TN CM's meeting with PM.
